BHCC is entering into a week of prayer!

Mark 11:23 Words of Jesus
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Are you willing to SPEAK to the mountain? Jesus says we must do more than pray about our troubles. He says we must be willing to SPEAK to our mountains with the authority that Christ has given us!

Calling all people with mountain moving faith:

Please join us TONIGHT at 7PM at our Mosaic Cafe Campus for a time of WORSHIP, PRAYER and speaking to the mountains to be removed! We will speaking to the mountain of cancer, sicknesses, broken relationships, hardened hearts, lack of faith, apathy, unforgiveness, skeptism and spiritual laziness!

This will be a night to see miracles and HEALINGS!!! Come be a part of seeing mountains MOVE in Jesus' name!

You don't have to be a 'member' of our church, there is only ONE CHURCH of Christ afterall! Just be ready to speak to the mountains and join us in watching them be thrown into the sea!

Praising God!

The people of BHCC are Praising God abundantly for all His MANY blessings on His church in 2011!

It has been an amazing year, full of incredible outpourings of the Holy Spirit and MUCH fruit for the Kingdom of God as a result! 2011 could definitely be called a record setting year! We set attendance records all over the place, from Easter to Christmas Eve! Way to go God!!! We had our record setting biggest baptism ever: seventeen people!!! PTL!!! To Him be all the glory forever!

God is moving in huge ways in this church! The Harvest of the LORD has only just begun!

“I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

All of us at Blessed Hope Community Church want to wish you a very MERRY, Christ-filled Christmas!!!

It is truly our honor to be a servant of Christ, and to serve all the people that God has brought together at BHCC as His family! God has truly blessed this church and continues to show us signs, wonders, and YES, even miracles abound!

We can't thank you enough for all your love, prayers and support for the pastors, leaders and all the people of BHCC! We are excited about all God has planned for us in 2012!!!

We will be celebrating our Christmas worship together at LOEWS MOVIE THEATER on Saturday, December 24th from 5:30-6:30PM. We are very excited as this will be our first Christmas Eve service ver in the theater. (Last year it was held at our Mosaic Campus.)

We hope you plan to join us and bring all your family and friends as well! We have a very special service planned and are honored to have Tamara Marcella as our very special guest singer!

We will NOT have a worship service on Sunday, December 25th and our next worship service will be a communion service on January 1, 2012! What a great way to start your new year off RIGHT in Jesus' name!

Please remember that a big part of our worship and thanksgiving to God is in our bringing our tithes and offerings to His church. Prayerfully consider giving a 'special gift' above and beyond your usual giving to show your love and support to the work of God through His church at Blessed Hope Community Church. Got JOY???

I don't know if I've ever been as excited about Christmas as I am this year.

Yes, having a brand new granddaughter definitely has something to do with it. :-)

But it's even more than that.

Yes, it's exciting to see how BHCC continues to grow and produce fruit.

But it's still more than that.

Yes, I absolutely love doing our current Christmas series, but it's more than that!

Yes, I am REALLY excited about having our Christmas Eve service in the movie theater this year for the first time, but it's still more than that!!!

The bottom line is, more than all these wonderful, incredible things, I am truly MOST excited and happy beyond belief about Jesus Christ!!!

After all these years of knowing Him, my joy has not subsided, only INCREASED!!!

He still absolutely amazes me! No words can describe how wonderful He is! Nothing on earth compares to Him!

And when I think about how great His love is for us, I am again, AMAZED!

I thank God that I get to be His servant. I get frustrated at times because I feel / know that what I spend full time doing probably amounts to less than only a small drop in the ocean. I want to bring Him soo much more. I want so much for more people to experience the joy and peace that I have come to know in Him. My life is such a testimony to Him and yet I fear few people get that about me. About how I once was so lost, depressed and miserable and how Christ found me and turned everything around! And now the joy I get to experience is beyond anything I could have ever imagined!

Nehemiah 8:10
" . . . . for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Luke 2:10
" . . . the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."

Got Joy for this Christmas?

Just believe and invite Him into your heart and make room for Him in your life! You too will experience this incredible joy and peace beyond anything you can possibly imagine! He's real. If you're missing joy, it's because you're missing HIM! He's waiting for you to invite Him into your heart and life!

I am praying the same prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesians for you this Christmas:

Ephesians 3:14-21 NIV
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

Last Sunday, BHCC gave Pastor John and I an incredible gift! They flooded us with cards filled with words of love, gratitude & appreciation! They also gave us a much desired Keurig Coffee Maker (or hot chocolate maker depending on your preference!).

We greatly appreciate the Keurig, but there are no words to describe what the love-filled words mean to us! Words can have an amazing power, can't they? I love written words because you can read them over and over again!

I truly feel sorry for anyone who does not know what it means to have a church family. They have no idea what they are missing. So many people see the church as a building or a place you go too and they don't understand that the Church is the family of God!

In fact, it's strange to me how many people from the community think that church at the movies means that we watch church on the big screen. We've heard this so much that we're thinking of putting up signs that say: "Live Music!" "Live Messages!" Apparently it's hard for people to conceive of church happening at a movie theater. But that has everything to do with the fact that so many people think of church as a building. It is not!

Church is the family of God! It is the people and it is a house of prayer. I am so very grateful that the church was always God's plan for us. It's not organized religion. It's not a man-made idea. It's all about relationships, community, and just being God's family together! I am so grateful for our family at BHCC!!! Do you have a church family? Maybe it's time you found one and discovered what you've been missing!

Love at Last Sight? Today's enews. . .

      He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Hi Friends,

Yup, it's true! God wants to have an intimate love connection with YOU! He wants to have a personal relationship with you and He wants to be involved in all the details of your life!

What He wants you to know more than anything else is that at the end of the day, at the end of your life, all that REALLY matters IS relationships! Your relationship with God and your relationships with others is all that really matters! The career, the bank account status, the car you drive, your portfolio or list of vacations will mean nothing compared to the value of how well you loved God and others in this life!

That is the focus of our current message series called "Love at Last Sight!" We've all heard the expression that it was "Love at first sight!" But we've all experienced the reality that that kind of superficial love can be shallow and very short-lived. How 'bout the idea of love at last sight? Was there love shown and expressed the last time we saw that person? Has our love grown stronger each time we see the people closest to us?

God wants us to learn to love unconditionally and deeply. He wants us to learn to build life-long relationships that grow deeper and more loving with each passing day. We're not just referring to romantic relationships, but all of our close, important relationships, and especially our relationship with God!

So come on and dive in! We all need God's help in growing into more loving, kind people! This Sunday we will learn about the Art of Intentionality. And next Wednesday, Oct. 19th, we'll be starting a BRAND NEW 4-week Wed. night study on Love at Last Sight, Going deeper! (7-8:30pm at the Mosaic Cafe, 2481 Browncroft Blvd.) Everyone is WELCOME!!!

LOVE the new and improved WEBSITE!

WOW, the new website looks AMAZING! It's so cool to have a new and improved look! Kind of represents what's happening in our church as a whole! God is all about making things NEW and we are all so blessed to be along to ride on the waves he creates!

He continues to make our lives new and improved every day! Thanks be to God! His mercies are also NEW every morning! Halleluiah!

Can't wait to see all the 'new and improved' things God will do in our church throughout our Fall Open House Series starting Oct. 2nd! Wooo-hoo! Check out our new series, Love at Last Sight! (So much better than love at First Sight!)

So Much to CELEBRATE!

Right now is definitely a time to celebrate in our church!

During our worship service yesterday, we handed out 17 baptism certificates and 25 new BHCC member certificates, PTL! Welcome HOME family, welcome HOME!!! The BHCC family is continuing to grow!

Yesterday we had our Lasagna Fundraiser and drawing for our Huge raffle basket full of amazing prizes! Congratulations to Nick and Judy Disalvo for winning the big basket!!!

Between the raffle, the dinner and many donations from all of you, we have raised more than $2000.00 for our Fall Mailers!!! Congratulations BHCC Peeps, you ALL did an amazing job!

Next week, we will send out 15,000 direct mailers to invite our neighbors (and future family members) to join us for our October Open House! PTL! It's all about changing lives for all eternity! BHCC is on a mission for God and we are seeing the Hand of God building His church!

How awesome that He invites us to partner with Him and be His hands and feet to the world. We have a purpose and the result is we are seeing the Kingdom of God come to earth! We see lives changed, marriages saved, people delivered from addictions and evil and people living lives for God's purposes (and not selfish ones!).

I can't wait to see all God will do through our Fall Open House starting October 2nd! Our outreach series is entitled: "Love at Last Sight!"
